Water in Mexico contains different bacteria than water in the United States and Canada. As a result, visitors to Mexico are advised to drink bottled water unless they will be staying in Mexico for an extended period.
Bottled water is provided in each guest apartment for drinking and cooking. We recommend that you brush your teeth with bottled water. If you plan to hike, bring a water bottle. While you are in town, bottled water is available at a nominal cost in every restaurant and food or convenience store.

All of the apartments in Casa de Piedra have full kitchens, with refrigerators, cook-tops (burners), dishes, utensils, and pots and pans. Águila has a full oven, and Selva has a toaster oven.
Boca de Tomatlán has several small grocery stores, and Puerto Vallarta has large, full service groceries. Both Boca and Puerto Vallarta have many fine restaurants, with a range of prices.
Boca is a real village, not a resort, so many of the things you may need for daily life are here — there is a shoe store if you blow out your flip-flop, a laundry if you spill the whole cervesa into your dufflebag, a tortilleria, a toy store, even a hardware store. Boca Divers sells or rents kayaks, boogie boards, and other sports equipment.
