Language
It is not necessary to speak Spanish, although if you do not, bring a good phrase book. Most of the business people in Puerto Vallarta speak excellent English; some of the folks in Boca do. Our caretakers, Ana and Ángel do not speak much English, although they are superb at International Sign Language, that make-it-up-as-you-go combination of pointing and gesturing. If you are stuck, ask Karla at Boca Divers, Ramón at the Huachinango Restaurant on the beach or Poncho at the laundry.
